About EffectiveFX

EffectiveFX is an independent, experimental audio technology studio that vows to create totally unique, often unusual, and ever exciting creative tools for musicians of the coming age.

Inspired by the imaginative analog audio effects and synthesizers of the 1960s and 70s, we imagine a new renaissance in sound and aspire to deliver completely new, high quality, sonically distinct audio technology to the musicians of the digital age, in a way that centers the creative process, honors the artists who use our work, and deeply respects the people and institutions that make it all possible.

We believe that art expresses the soul of humanity and is one of its most honorable pursuits. New music is often downstream of the technology used to create it, and we aim to be a renewing creative spirit in sound. Experimental technology isn’t always useful or well received, but that’s key to the joy our work brings us.

Currently, EffectiveFX is the sole proprietorship of Ross Wallgren, with help from many friends and family, and based in the ever charming Baltimore, Maryland.
